bucket list

Work Hard Play Hard: How to make your #BucketList ACTUALLY happen.

In today’s world, we are constantly being pulled in a thousand directions at once. We get sucked into a task, and every ping from our phones pulls us away from it. Before you know it, we are pulled into a neverending round of “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie” and you can’t remember where you left your brain, much less what you were doing. I get questions all the time from friends who genuinely want to know — how do I have so many things on my bucket list and how do I get them all done?!?  There are several simple answers to this: 1) Read More

Designed To Pray GIVEAWAY ~ from Our Cozy Den

🖼 Designed to Pray 🙏 {✨GIVEAWAY!🌟}

I mentioned in my last post that I’ve been going through a rough patch lately. I thought that a great way to get back into the swing of things would be to do another giveaway, and at the same time share a product that has been incredibly helpful and inspirational to me during these past few months. Let me introduce Designed to Pray by Kelly O’Dell Stanley. I picked up this book in a book store about 6 months ago. Immediately when I flipped through it, I was intrigued by the concept of speaking to God in different ways besides my old standards: speaking and writing. This Read More

Simple & FREE Weight Loss Strategies

Losing weight is HARD. If it were easy, people wouldn’t make it their New Year’s Resolution year after year… after year. Personally, my weight is a huge struggle for me. I have a disease called PCOS that makes it nearly impossible for me to lose weight and almost inherent for me to pack on the pounds. It seems that no matter what I do, I’ll never be a thin girl. But something I have noticed is that when I make an effort to keep myself healthy, I feel better, even if I don’t look it. I have more energy. I have a more optimistic attitude. I have fewer Read More

15 Clutter Free Gift Ideas for Kids!

Christmas is almost here! When the celebrating ends, you will look around at your home and see… boxes… packaging… wrapping paper… and a mountain of toys that rivals the county dump. We have four kids, so that means four birthdays, four times the Christmas gifts, and just simply put: four times the stuff. My favorite kinds of gifts to give the kids (and receive for the kids!) are clutter free gifts. They take up little space (which is a hot commodity in a family of 6), if any at all. But they are still much enjoyed and loved by all! Take a look at my list of Read More

Sticky Quotes {review & giveaway!}

One thing that this world is severely lacking is kindness. People seem to be wrapped in their own little worlds, barely even acknowledging the people around them, much less showing them courtesy. I view it as one of my missions in life to change this. My family often participates in what many call “Random Acts of Kindness”. This might be something simple like picking up the check for strangers at a restaurant, buying a gift card at Walmart and handing it to the person in line behind us, or taking treats to overworked staff at one of our favorite establishments. But not all acts of Read More

Hayes Presidential Center

We love to go on field trips in our homeschool. Recently we were passing through Fremont, Ohio on our way to another destination, so I checked out the website for the Hayes Presidential Library & Museums to see if it would be worth our time to make a pit stop. I was elated to see that it was listed as a Blue Star Museum so our whole family got to get in for free with my military ID! The Hayes Museum has two main parts: the Presidential home and the museum. Our first stop was to take a tour of the home, but we could see Read More
