My name is Christy. Thanks for stopping by!
I’d like to introduce you to my family.
Byron and I met when we were both serving in the US Army in 2004. 🇺🇸 We had a whirlwind courtship ~ getting engaged 10 weeks after meeting, and married another 6 weeks after that! 💍
We have called many places home in our 13 years of marriage, including: Monterey, California; San Angelo, Texas; Spring Hill, Tennessee; Clarksville, Tennessee; Wiesbaden, Germany; Findlay, Ohio; and currently — Tiffin, Ohio. We have many plans to move lots more times, because I have a serious case of wanderlust and I love to see the world! But we know that God has ultimate control over that, so we’ll just go wherever He takes us!
I’m a stay-at-home homeschooling mom, doing my best to get it all done. I love Jesus, I love my family, I love to read, and I love spending time with my friends! I’m a very open person. I believe that the struggles I encounter are a testimony to all the great that God has done in my life. I have no problems talking about my sinful past, my pregnancy losses, my struggle with my weight, and all of my other issues!
Byron is a recent seminary graduate, who also recently accepted a new position as an Associate Pastor! He loves SOCCER and spent a few years of our time in Germany on a European soccer team.
Connor is 11, currently in 7th grade. He’s super smart and loves technology. He wants to have a job in computer coding someday. He loves fantasy — give him Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Harry Potter, The Flash, or some Doctor Who — and he’s in heaven!
Lia is 10, and in 5th grade. She’s my little musician ~ an enormously talented pianist! It must skip a generation because my dad is a musician, but I have zero talent! She’s very quiet, kind, and helpful! She loves to read, and devours classic novels like The Secret Garden, Little Women, and Pollyanna!
Sophie is 7, currently in 3rd grade. She has three main passions: animals (especially dogs), playing her guitar, and art. She is especially talented in creating works of 3D art, like scuplting and building. She’ll talk your ear off and cuddle anything that moves!
Finn is 5, currently in 1st grade. He’s an old soul, like a grumpy old man trapped in a child’s body. He does his own thing, not caring much what everyone else around him is doing. He says the funniest quips, often reducing us all to hysterics! He’s extremely introverted but lovingly devoted once you’re ‘in’!
