Homemade Bisquick Mix

Bisquick Mix

You can use this mix to make anything that regular name-brand Bisquick will make. I use 99% of mine for pancakes, but also sometimes for biscuits.

Homemade Bisquick Mix Recipe

10 cups flour

1/4 cup sugar

2 tsp. salt

2. Cut in shortening until mixture is about the consistency of cornmeal.

3. Store in a large air tight container.

Now, use this “master mix” any time a recipe calls for baking mix.

Great recipes! Do you store the Homemade Bisquick Mix in the pantry or fridge? I’m not familiar with shortening so I’m not sure if it should be refrigerated after mixing it in or not. 🙂

I use the powdered milk, it saves lots of money! I pretty much use powdered milk for all baking and cooking — everything except straight up drinking.
